The role

Join a fast-growing early-stage team where you’ll work closely with founders who have built multiple startups and exceptional principal engineers. This is an in-office role based in San Francisco’s China Basin/South Beach neighborhood. We offer a competitive salary and generous early-stage equity.

Tech stack: TypeScript, React, Next.js, Python, PostgreSQL, AWS, Go, and Rust.

What you’ll do

Build end to end: Collaboratively design, build, and deploy full-stack features, from customer-facing interfaces to backend microservices and database schemas.
Collaborate closely: Work directly with every team member in continuous feedback loops through daily standups, whiteboard sessions, and quick syncs.
Engage with customers: Help customers get expert value from the product, gather direct feedback, and use those insights to guide improvements.
Set and support engineering standards: Help lay the foundation for our codebase, test suites, deployment pipelines, and developer tooling.
Practice pragmatism: Balance technical debt with delivery speed, knowing when to ship a quick solution and when to invest in scalable infrastructure.
Build alignment: Document technical decisions, explain tradeoffs transparently, bring strong opinions loosely held, and know when to lead and when to serve.

What we’re looking for

Experience building and supporting modern web applications in production environments.
Strong command of full-stack web architecture, including modern TypeScript frameworks such as React and Next.js, Python backends such as FastAPI, and relational databases such as PostgreSQL.
A proven track record at early-stage startups or in fast-paced product incubation environments where rapid shipping is a priority.
Exceptional communication skills. You enjoy discussing complex technical concepts in service of the product and turning your ideas into working software.
You treat LLMs as a core part of how you build. You’re fluent with coding agents, comfortable designing prompts and evals, and eager to find the edge of what these models can do—then push it further.
