Install Tokenize on your computer
Download the Tokenize desktop app for Mac or Windows and sign in so your AI usage shows up in the dashboard.
The Tokenize desktop app runs in the background on your computer. It reads the local session logs that Claude Code, Claude desktop (Cowork), Codex, and Cursor already write, and sends usage to your Tokenize workspace. It also adds your organization's skills, connectors, and settings to those tools.
Who can do this: Members and Admins. If your IT team is rolling Tokenize out to every laptop, they may install it for you. See Deploy with MDM.

What happens next
- The app sends your first upload right away, then keeps sending new activity every few minutes. Sessions still in progress show up shortly after they finish.
- The first run also sends your existing history from these tools.
- It sets up Claude Code and Codex to send their own usage data to Tokenize, and keeps your organization's skills, MCP servers, and settings in sync.
- It updates itself automatically.
The device appears under Settings → My devices. See Manage your devices.
To learn what is collected and how prompt text is handled, see What data Tokenize collects.
Check that it's working
Run transcript-shipper status on Mac, or & "$env:ProgramFiles\PalindromeLabs\transcript-shipper.exe" status on Windows. An enrolled device shows your OrgId and a shortened APIKey. "(none)" means the device isn't signed in yet.
If your data doesn't show up, see Troubleshoot the desktop app.
