Connect Linear

Connect your Linear workspace so Work Intelligence can tie AI spend to the Linear projects it went into.

Connecting Linear turns on the Projects view in Work Intelligence, which ties AI spend to projects in your Linear workspace. One Linear workspace connects to one Tokenize organization.

Who can do this: Admins.

Connect your workspace

  1. Go to Settings → Integrations.
  2. On the Linear card, click Connect Linear.
  3. Linear opens. Review the access it asks for and approve it.
  4. You return to Tokenize with "Linear is connected. Open Integrations to check access and preview projects." Click Back to Integrations.

The card now shows Workspace: followed by your workspace name, and "Connected. Last verified …". Projects appear in Work Intelligence once Tokenize has synced your workspace. Until then, the Projects view says "Linear is syncing" or "Linear sync queued".

Check the connection

Click Check connection on the Linear card. Tokenize confirms its access and shows a Project preview of up to ten projects the connected app can read, including private ones, each with its status. "More projects are available in Linear." means the workspace has more than ten.

"No accessible projects were returned." means the app can't see any projects yet. Check its access in Linear.

The preview is only shown to admins who manage integrations.

Reconnect

When the card says "Linear access needs to be renewed. Reconnect to continue.", click Reconnect and approve the access again. The Projects view shows "Reconnect Linear" with a Reconnect Linear button until you do.

Disconnect Linear

  1. On the Linear card, click Disconnect.
  2. Confirm Disconnect in the "Disconnect Linear?" dialog.

The card says "Disconnected locally; remove the app in Linear to confirm remote removal." until Linear confirms the app was removed, then "Disconnected from Linear." The Projects view stops showing projects until an admin connects Linear again.

If the card says "Access is disabled in Tokenize. Finish disconnect after the current request ends.", a request was still running when you disconnected. Click Finish disconnect.

To switch to a different workspace, disconnect the current one first. Otherwise you see "Disconnect the current workspace before connecting a different one."

Troubleshooting

"Linear connection setup is not available yet." Linear isn't available for your workspace. Contact your Tokenize account team.

"Linear connection was canceled. You can start again in Integrations." The access request was declined in Linear. Click Connect Linear and approve it.

"This setup is missing or expired. Start a new connection in Integrations." The connection took too long or was started from another browser. Click Connect Linear again.

"Linear could not be connected. Use the same Tokenize user and organization that started setup, then start again in Integrations." Finish the connection as the same user, in the same Tokenize organization, that clicked Connect Linear.

"This Linear workspace is already connected to another Tokenize organization." A workspace can only be connected once. Disconnect it from the other organization first.

"Linear is busy. Wait a moment before checking again." Linear is rate limiting requests. Wait, then try again.

"The last connection attempt or check did not complete. Try again or reconnect." Click Check connection again. If it still fails, click Reconnect.

"Linear status could not be loaded." Click Refresh status.
