Connect OpenRouter
Add a read-only OpenRouter management key so Tokenize can show spend, tokens, and requests for each OpenRouter API key.
If your teams call models through OpenRouter, connect it so that spend shows up next to your other providers. Tokenize reads per-key spend, tokens, and requests from the OpenRouter Analytics API and shows them in Platform Usage.
Who can do this: Admins in Tokenize. An OpenRouter organization owner or admin must create the key.
Create the key
Tokenize needs a management key. A regular inference key won't work.
- Open Management keys in OpenRouter.
- Choose Create Management Key. Make it read-only.
- Copy the key.
Tokenize only reads with this key. It does not create keys or change your OpenRouter settings.
Add it to Tokenize
- Go to Settings → Providers.
- In the OpenRouter section, paste the key into API key under OpenRouter Analytics.
- Click Save.
Tokenize checks the key with OpenRouter before storing it, then starts reading usage right away.
What you get
- Spend, tokens, and requests for each OpenRouter API key, in Platform Usage.
- API key metadata for your OpenRouter keys.
Spend includes OpenRouter's own estimate of any bring-your-own-key routing. OpenRouter has no per-person spend limits, so this connection doesn't support Budgets.
Check the connection
After you save, the panel shows the key's last four characters, a status badge, and the results of the "Analytics" and "API key metadata" access checks.
If you see "Key not accepted. Use a read-only management key." the key you pasted is not a management key, or it can't read analytics. Create a management key and paste it again.
For other badges and messages, see Provider key errors.
